It doesn't. Many people tried it when the Hat Maker was introduced.

I'm looking forward to it, if you were intending to play aimlessly now you have a sense of purpose . If your whining about the event, don't go to it, not anybodys problem and no-one will likely care. Can't wait to get into the action Good Job A-Net

Should we expect a massive-banning after this year's Dragon Festival too?

I still don't get the mission system they are talking about, and the missions on each day at a specific time, but the MASK looks nice, and I want to get my Uber Micro Skillz title this weekend (if I don't have a test for Biochem).

If that is the mask that necro is wearing in the pic on the event page, then I am severely disappointed. Every mask up to this point has been very good in quality.

The mask looks ok, rather would have had something that resembles a face of a margonite ^^. Oh well we'll see in game how it looks

Yeah it would look cool if we had margonite masks. I know a certain guildie that would love that.

Uggh! it's worse than the tengu mask (imho) and that one was pretty bad. I'll keep my dragon mask from last year. If presents don't drop during the emperor's visits, I think I might just avoid this event altogether.

Looking forward to this weekend. I think Anet saw the "Anet hates Cantha" thread, lol.

Time to get some cash put aside for tickets and increase lucky/unlucky titles. Hopefully i'll win some cakes too and boost my sweet tooth title.

Don't need cartography title anymore, got that, but happy for those who will be able to.

Thanks Anet.

I missed last years Festival, and I've really been hoping they'd do another Dragon Festival this year. Now we have four yearly festivals spaced out pretty well. Great stuff. And personally, I quite like the new mask, it should look great with certain types of armour. Looks better than the dragon mask, in my opinion, I thought that was fairly ugly.

What I don't get, is all these people complaining. It's all been said before, but seriously, if you're not happy with anything the developers do, then maybe you should play a different game. They're constantly giving us great new content like this for free. Most MMO's with monthly fee's don't even get this kind of treatment, and all you guys do is moan about it.

Anyone know what demon this is supposed to resemble exactly? Can't complain until I've seen one with my own eyes but...

Anyhow thanks ANET for the festival it is much appreciated. The 30 minute windows for quests seems kind of clunky though. I mean that basically forces us to have scheduled playtimes over the weekend...kinda strange but we'll see. Off to farming for the next couple days, I guess I'll be needing the cash on hand. No bans for afk rings please!

Edit: Figured out what its supposed to be...I think...

Yay! I've always enjoyed the dragon festival and am very excited to see it return. This is really a pleasant suprise, as I didn't think A-net was going to hold an event like that anytime soon. And a mask to boot! Thanks A-net!

By the way. The spot makes for a nice bit of dye farming, since there doesn't seem to be any form of Loot Scaling in effect.
His point is that he has no money, he has no money because you can no longer farm trolls, mino's, etc and sell off all the white, purp, and gold drops to merch and make any money because they drop so few items. Yes you can kill low levels and get drops, that is fine but each drop is worth 3 gold so it is pointless. Bottom line is most ppl I know never bought gold online, bu now since loot scalling I know lots of people who have had to do it to get the stuff they previously just farmed for. The new Loot scaling deal is a bust it didn't work and it will not work (unless they also make materials cheap and no armor not cost over 1k a piece) OR THEY COULD JUST GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAAS WHICH WAS FINE!!!!
